My name is Michelle but my friends call me Shado, and I'm a self taught web designer / front-end developer based in Centurion, Gauteng. What I do is really simple! I take my laptop, internet connection and my knowledge of HTML and CSS and a few extra bits 'n bobs and create websites that are (hopefully) pleasing to the eye but above all impeccably coded.

Why you never see websites hanging in a gallery? Why painters and sculptors are considered artists but web designers are not? Well isn't web design a form of art too? Isn't the mind set and process that both artist and web designer go through when creating their respective pieces alike?
Luckily for us web designers we have the World Wide Web to exhibit our pieces in and even though the majority of people browsing the internet might not even be aware of the intricacies, both technical and aesthetic, of the design work being displayed on their screen, the web designer knows. And for us that's the thrill.
